toob celebrates connecting its 50,000th customer and approaches fifth anniversary

Local full-fibre broadband provider, toob, celebrates remarkable expansion across the South of England 

The AltNet has been growing rapidly from a customer base of just 10,000 customers in October 2022 to well over 50,000 customers 18 months later.

The early network deployed in Southampton now has over 40% penetration and on the overall toob network penetration is almost 20%. In addition, toob is growing its customers on the CityFibre network at a swift pace through a strategic partnership between the two companies.  

The rapid growth of toob’s coverage has seen its 900 Mbps full-fibre broadband service become available across Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey, Sussex, and Berkshire. All the while, toob continues to support its 50,000 customers with its no in-contract price rise promise; a move welcomed by broadband users at a time when it has become industry standard to increase broadband service prices mid-contract.  

The multiple award winning AltNet has continued to go from strength to strength, all while giving back. toob proudly centres itself around its communities while increasing digital inclusion through its affordable full-fibre network offering. In total, toob has invested in its network to enhance connectivity to five counties and 29 towns and cities across the south of the UK.
