The UK’s fastest broadband provider¹, toob, has announced that it will be bringing Father Christmas back to Southampton’s Christmas Market, on Friday 23^rd December from 10am to 8pm. After hearing that this year’s Christmas Market would not have a Father Christmas, toob stepped in to create a Santa’s Grotto to provide fun for all the family.

Set to take over a market chalet at Above Bar Street (by Urban Outfitters), toob’s grotto will be filled with treats for the whole family, including a spinning wheel of fortune, with goodies up for grabs including festive sticks of toob rock, toob piggy banks, and tote bags. There will also be a photo frame for a selfie opportunity, along with Father Christmas and his singing elf.

Nick Parbutt, CEO and Founder of toob said: “When we heard that there was a risk that Father Christmas might not be at the Market this year we knew we had to help. I am delighted that toob will be involved with this year’s Christmas market in Southampton. I am especially pleased that we can bring Santa to delight the city, along with a singing elf to add some extra Christmas cheer to the market this year.”

The Lord Mayor of Southampton, Councillor Jacqui Rayment, said: “I’m incredibly delighted to hear that Father Christmas is visiting Southampton just before his busiest night of the year. I know the children in the city will be just as excited as I am and I’ll be sure to head down to the Christmas Market to put in a good word.

The Christmas offering in Southampton has already brought joy to so many, and I’m really glad that toob are able to invite a Father Christmas for everyone to enjoy on Friday 23^rd December.”
